ABS will get better: Ichull Lordson

Hard working ABS midfielder Lordson Ichull is happy that his goal was able to give his team victory and end their three-match no-win streak in the Glo Premier League.

The former Kwara Academy player, who scored the only goal in the ABS week 22 home game against Gombe United believes the win will be a catalyst to push the Ilorin-based side as the second stanza of the league gets into full gear.

"It was a tough game, I thought we played well and deserved to win,"

"Gombe are a very good side, they gave us problems, It took us time to settle, but we eventually came through." Ichull told supersport.com.

Ichull also was happy that the team won and hopes this will help to propel them to earn more points to push ABS towards the summit on the log.

"I'm happy I scored the goal even though it was a penalty, but the most important thing is we got the three points, we needed the points badly and I'm happy we did.

"The management have tried their best to make us comfortable and i think it's time we repay their faith in us." he added.

ABS won a hard fought Glo Premier League week 22 game against Gombe United through a 33rd minute spot kick converted by Lordson Ichull for his fifth goal of the season.

The Ilorin-based side now occupy the 12th position on the log with 29 points after 22 games.
