Kalu Uche nears Levante move

Spanish Primera Liga side UD Levante has reached an agreement  in principle to sign Nigerian midfielder.  Uche Kalu from Qatar side Al-Rayyan.

Negotiations have been on-going and Uche has already had a medical at the club as he awaits international clearance and the go ahead from the Qatari side

Levante have been looking to shore up their ranks as La Liga gets into the deep end with the Levante hierarchy sounding Kalu out as an experienced player that can help their push in the league.

He has not played regularly of late but Levante feel his experience, plus he might come in on a fre transfer  will count a lot for them and are willing to take the gamble to bring him to the club.

Kalu has played for Wislaw Krakow in Poland Neuchatel Xamax in Switzerland and Bordeaux in France,  but has spent majority of his career in Spain starring for clubs like Almeria and  Espanyol.

The 32 year old, who is the older brother to Villareal's Ikechukwu Uche has also played in Turkey with Kasimpasa where he notched uo 19 goals in 33 games for the Turkish side before heading to the Middle East, first with El-Jaish before moving to Al-Rayyan.

He was part of Nigeria's World Cup squad at. South Africa 2010 where he scored two goals as the Super Eagles exited the tournament at the group stage.
