#AWCON- Nigeria vs Mali: Video Highlights

Image
After a long search, I finally found the video highlights of the opening Group B game of the 2016 Africa Womens Cup of Nations. Nigeria hit Mali 6-0 to send warning signals out to other teams. I didn't watch the game and I'm sure a lot didn't too. Here are the goals. I hope y'all enjoy it. Video is courtesy the guys at Koora Gooal

Shehu Dikko wins award...

Image
The Sun Newspapers have awarded the Sports Personality of the Year Award to Shehu Dikko, Chairman of the League Management Company (LMC), which organizes the Nigeria Professional Football League. Congratulations chief. Let's use this award as a motivation for a better 2016/2017 Nigeria Processional Football League season

Henry Onyekuru...skills and goals

Image
Found this video on Henry Onyekuru, 19, who plays for Eupen in the Belgian top flight. I reckon he will be the next break-out star. He's got pace, strength, silky skills and an eye for goal. Video is courtesy 'Football Scout' on Youtube

Video: Highlights of the Golden Eaglets 3-0 loss to South Korea at the Suwon Invitational Tournament

So the competition is done and dusted. Y'all know by now how the team fared. We lost all the three games we played. We took an U17 team for an U19 tourney. I'm sure Manu Garba and the lads would have learnt a lot from the three games. He is an extended highlight of the game against South Korea. Will keep digging and see if I can find the games against England (8-1) and Iran (1-0).

Video highlights. Nigeria vs Algeria

All goals from the World Cup qualifier between Nigeria and Algeria at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.

Nigeria sweep past Algeria

Image
Nigeria's Super Eagles cruised past their Algerian opponents, the Fennecs, 3-1 in one of Saturday's 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifiers in Africa. It was a Chelsea show for the Nigerians as winger Victor Moses scored twice and Mikel John Obi got among the goals as well while the Algerians got their solitary strike from Nabil Bentaleb. Nigeria head coach Gernot Rohr turned to Chippa United stopper Daniel Akpeyi in the absence of injured Carl Ikeme, while Oghenekaro Etebo, Moses and Leon Balogun got their first games under the Franco-German.

Big Match Feature: Nigeria v Algeria

Image
Nigeria and Algeria have a footballing rivalry stretching a long time that might arguably be just bettered by the Cameroon and Ghana ‘tug-of-war’ over the years. Saturday’s 2018 World Cup qualifier in Uyo will pitch two of Africa’s football giants against each other in what potential could be the divide between who makes it to Russia 2018 or not. Algeria dropped points at home to Cameroon while Nigeria nicked three off Zambia in Ndola to top Group B going into Match Day Two. A win for Nigeria will see the Super Eagles move a step closer to the dream of a third straight World Cup with Algeria needing a miracle of sorts depending on what happens between Cameroon and Zambia in Limbe.
