Hot water and essential balm...

Image
My cousin Sagent Malakai ( yes, that's his real name and he aint a policeman) narrates his own experience on local treatment for bone issues...... My father would heat water to boiling point and soak a piece of clothe in it. How he manages  told hold the hot water-soaked clothe to my dislocated leg or arm, I don't know. Two things I know for sure are the pains I felt as he held me down and applied force ,and the relief I felt few days later. I often wish he left me with my injury than go through the excruciating pain I underwent under his therapy.  I also used to apply my saliva on any bruise I had on the field (I was a decent footballer and athlete)  and  rubbed it gently. It always had this tingly sensation.we so much believed it that it actually worked My colleague Chris Oguguo also shares his own experience " There was this balm I used when I broke my tibia and fibula at the U17 camp (can't remember the name now), but that

Break a bone

I have to duly apologise for not blogging much these past few weeks. It's been a riot in my life but I wouldn't bother you with that part. I promise that 2017 will be bigger and better as I hope to be more regular on here and churning out different stuff that will make you glad you are a subscriber. If you aint, then please join the queue. As y'all know, this blog is about Nigerian football and footballers-reports, videos and commentary, however, I will also be going on a whole lot of directions in 2017. The blog will get up close and personal with new series popping up every now and then aside the usual reports. This week, I'm going to be featuring my friends ( journos, footballers and friends) who have been fortunate (or unfortunate in some cases) to be treated with traditional methods when they had a dislocation or broke a bone.

Falcons are African champions again..

So we are champions of Africa again. The Falcons did us proud in Cameroon defeating the hosts 1-0 in the final game. Match report and video highlights Nigeria's Super Falcons have successfully defended their Africa Women Cup of Nations title by defeating Cameroon 1-0 at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaounde on Saturday. EA Guincamp Ladies forward Desire Oparanozie delivered the winner at the death despite the dominance of the hosts in the match. The opening exchanges were all about the Cameroonians who attacked relentlessly. Gabrielle Onguene carved out the first chance of the game when she skipped past three Nigerian players before shooting wide from inside the box.
