It is fair to say that the use of Twitter has revolutionised different aspects of football. It has made an impersonal game a more interactive one. Futsal Eagles to play Egypt for World Cup slot The Futsal National Team, otherwise known as Futsal Eagles, will aim to become the third Nigerian National Team to qualify for the FIFA World Cup this year when it takes on Egypt in the last round of African qualifiers for the 2012 FIFA Futsal World Cup finals. The Futsal Eagles secured their passage into the final round following the withdrawal of Gabon in the penultimate round, while Egypt, perennial African champions victimised Tunisia 9-3 on aggregate to set up a date with the Nigerian team. Egypt won 4-1 away in Tunis two weeks ago and on Friday, completed the rout of their north African neighbours with a 5-2 pounding in Cairo. The first leg of the fixture between Nigeria and Egypt will take place in Cairo on Friday, June 8 with the return leg set for the Gymnasium of the National Institute for Sports, National Stadium, Lagos on Sunday, June 24.
