LMC sends U17 squad to Gauteng Youth Tourney.

Like y'all know, the League Management Company is responsible for the Nigeria Professional Football League but they are also about youth development. A few weeks back, coaches from U15 teams were put through courses by Spanish coaches on various aspects of youth coaching and development. Not to stop with that, the LMC are now sending an U17 side to participate in the Gauteng Youth Tournament in South Africa. The team will be coached by former U17 National Team coach Austin Eguavoen. LMC invites bids from financial advisors to manage club enlistment in securities market

The League Management Company (LMC) in partnership with over the counter securities market operator, NASD Securities Exchange took a major step towards bringing private sector investment into the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) when on Monday, March 13; financial advisors were invited to bid for appointment to work with eight of the 20 NPFL Clubs shortlisted for the pilot project. The financial advisors are to serve as consultants that will prepare the clubs to meet regulatory requirements for enlistment in the stock market and be eligible to attract investment either through being publicly quoted or attract direct financial investment from individuals or investment groups. In making the process open and to attract the best industry experts, the LMC placed advertisement in two influential national newspapers, Thisday and Businessday on Monday, March 13 calling for expression of interest from qualified investment advisory experts.

Olatunbosun's goal goes viral

A few weeks ago, most football fans around the world wouldn't have heard of the name Sikiru Olatunbosun but that has all changed following his spectacular goals against Rangers International of Enugu last weekend. The goal itself was a combination of sheer brilliance, improvisation and ingenuity all rolled into one. It was a matchday 10 game at the Agege Stadium in Lagos, Nigeria between the home side Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) and reigning Nigerian champions Rangers International of Enugu. MFM made incursions into the Rangers area but their efforts failed to yield any fruit as Rangers held firm, but the deadlock would later be broken in spectacular fashion by Olatunbosun’s wonderful volley. The build up that lead to the goal was like something out of a football video game.
